The Story Behind FLASH! The Science Behind Intuition by Dr. Anne Watson

In 2004, a vision came to me, unannounced, one fine (non-teaching) day in Ontario, Canada…it was vibrant and in 3D.

Like psychedelic striped wallpaper materializing before my eyes, there suddenly appeared vertical
columns with pulsating lights shimmering up and down inside them. Each thin tube was thrumming to its own sound, to the rhythm of its own oscillations. Side by side, the vibrating columns collectively formed a wide, wondrous pilaster of constantly shifting, harmonious light and sound. Brilliant light! Ecstatic music! It was right there, on my bedroom wall, that sunny July morning.

Ignoring my partner sitting beside me, I asked the wall, “What is this? What is this for?” and instantly, even as I framed my questions, a stranger’s voice inside my head responded:
“These are the messages we send. Those who are open to receiving them can be aware of them even as they are transmitted. The messages enter while you sleep, while you meditate, and occasionally while you are wide awake. They guide and enlighten you as to the ways of the Universe. They are the pre-knowledge your brain must have in order to function smoothly.”

The pre-knowledge?

Who was saying this? This voice was not the nagging voice of my conscience, but a deeper tone. It was a man's voice explaining to me what I was looking at. In a flash of insight, suddenly I understood how the brain knows in advance which cells to excite and which to inhibit along an intended neural pathway. That is, which neurons the brain should engage and which it should avoid when we have an idea, a thought, or send a command to our bodies like, “pick up the cup”, or “shout, he can’t hear you”, or “better look into what that banging noise is downstairs”, or “The square root of 9 is…? 3”: problem solving and behavior commands. (This insight impacted directly on the psycho-educational assessments I performed as my work). The brain carries out such messaging for us so that we can function.
In that flash of insight, I got it! Our brains receive messages for us, directives, commands, suggestions: messages sent through light.

Vibrating, oscillating light messages, shown in a vision to me, made me suddenly understand how the brain pre-knows. It’s because the messages prepare it for what is to come, and these messages come to us from light.

Neuroscience illuminated – literally!

Messages from light arrive in our brains to prepare us to attend to what is coming up next in our minds.

Messages are sent to us, via light, to plan our next thoughts, ideas, movements, responses, reactions. Messages form consciousness.

Like a light bulb going off in my head, the stranger's revelation explained things about the brain over which I had been puzzling.

“Why are you showing me this?” I asked, out loud.

The deep voice continued,
“It is up to you to tell about it, because you know how the brain works and you can write in lay terms.”

“Why?” I continued. What I meant was, why this was important? He understood what I was asking.
“For harmony. We emanate harmony frequencies.”

At this point my questions were being answered so quickly it was difficult to determine which of us was asking and which one was answering.

“When all things go as pre-ordained, we enter a state of rightness, perfection – a state of harmony”.

“Yes.”

That was it. That was the whole exchange: end of vision, end of message.

What inspired me? I was directed to write this book to show people that their lives go better when they get into harmony with their intuitions.

About the Author

Anne Watson is a Canadian author and educator and co-author of So You Have to Go to Court! A Child’s Guide to Testifying as a Witness in Child Abuse Cases with Wendy Harvey. She was raised in England, trained as a teacher, and after starting teaching in Canada at Thistletown Regional Centre School for Emotionally Disturbed Children, she then taught in the Cayman Islands, the Bahamas, and in Palm Beach County USA. Just before beginning doctoral studies in Special Education Psychology at U. of T., she travelled right around the world. Once a doctor, she became a Prof at UBC and later at Trent U., then switched to doing psychoeducational assessments (CSI of the brain!). After 30 years of midnight oil reports and early morning parent meetings she retired to concentrate on writing and art. Her calling is to help people contact their Inner Voice – the Universe – by fast tracking open brain states using EEG devices, some of which can be glimpsed in a couple of scenes in her just finished movie, “A Thousand Reasons.” She has two successful adult kids and one almost grown up granddaughter.

About the Book

If we have intuitions (and we do) where do they come from? Where, in us, do they arrive? What, in us, allows us to receive and interpret them? And why? Why do we get them?
Fourteen years of research, often waiting for the science to catch up with a vision sent to me by the Universe, these questions are answered in lay terms for the wonderment and affirmation of those interested in energy from another plane.
